About Cancun Vacation Trips
Cancun
is Mexico’s most famous showcase tourist locations. Once
the playground of ancient civilizations, Cancun has been carefully
groomed into one of the most sought after vacation areas anywhere
in the world and is known for world-renowned fishing, diving and
snorkeling in the unusually warm crystal blue Caribbean seas.
Few resorts areas in the world have the attractions and amenities
that were built into Cancun from the beginning which is why it is
one of Mexico's most popular tourist trip
locations.
Warm white sand beaches, crystal blue seas, romantic Caribbean
nights, world-class hotels with an abundance of restaurants and
nightlife comprise the ambiance which makes Cancun unique. Cancun
is famous not only for it's fantastic beaches and modern resort
night life but also for it's amazing archeological sites which date
back thousands of years. Visitors can step back in time to marvel
at the ancient tombs and villages and there are many popular excursions
to the mysterious Mayan archaeological sites of Tulum, Coba, and
Chichen Itza which are as breathtaking as any found in ancient Egypt!
Cancun is a resort location for everybody,
from college students on a strict budget to the rich and famous
from all over the world. Cancun caters to all who visit and
everyone should experience a Cancun vacation
trip at least once.
Cancun is located in the South-eastern part of Mexico and is approximately
16 miles long and is enhanced by a delightful tropical climate! The
coastline stretches about 540 miles with numerous coral islands
and the world’s second largest barrier reef.

The heart of Cancun is the main tourist zone called “Zona
Hotelera” which vibrates with excitement and activities. Hotel
Zone is an area where hotels and condominiums line the beaches.and
serve as the nearly uninterrupted backdrop along this stretch of
incredible Caribbean coastline. In the center of this is an
area which is known as the “Party Zone” and is the home
to many of the areas famous nightclubs and discos and Cancun’s
better restaurants and shopping malls. On the inland side
of Cancun peninsula is Laguna Nichupté which is vast lagoon
that serves as home to numerous marinas, water front restaurants,
shopping malls, a couple of golf courses, a few islands and inlets
and some fantastic sunsets .
Visiting Cancun is like visiting a resort where you could be kept
busy every moment. From sport fishing and water sports to world
class golf and tennis courts, Cancun has it all and there is something
for everyone in Cancun.
Not all of Cancun is about surf, sand and partying. A trip to Cancun
City, also known as Centro, is where the locals live and as such
offers a more authentic look at the sights and sounds of Mexico.
While Centro is not heavily promoted, it offers a diversion to the
activity in the Hotel Zone. Centro is a pleasant city with some
very nice restaurants and modern shopping facilities where you may
find things more reasonably priced than you would find in the Hotel
Zone.
