Beaches
The beaches of Cancun are a natural attraction. Cancun
is one long, continuous white sand beach. The sand here is
cool even in the hot tropical sun due to its unique composition.
You can enjoy any or all because all Mexican beaches are public
property. Enjoy the beautiful Caribbean Sea with its indigo waters.
Water Sports
Cancun is the perfect setting to do a multitude of water activities
or nothing at all. If you love snorkeling in clear blue seas Cancun
is certainly the right place to do it! The
waters of the Caribbean are noted for their clarity. Some
of the world’s most famous reefs are just a short distance
from the hotel.
Cancun is a natural haven for water sports of all kinds. Guests
can rent Jet skis, waverunners or enjoy the thrill of parasailing
adventures or water skiing all of which are available from local
vendors on the calm surface of the lagoon.
Do you snuba? Snuba is a relatively new sport that combines scuba
and snorkeling. Air is supplied underwater by a flexible tube
connected to a plastic bag enabling swimmers to enjoy an underwater
experience without air tanks.`
World class scuba diving is available
at many nearby locations, must notably, the islands of Cozumel
and Isla Mujeres and snorkeling is practiced everywhere. Don’t
forget to rent a jet ski, stay dry in a submarine, or go on a
banana ride!
Scuba Diving
The Cancun area offers guests many wonderful options for diving.
You could take a lesson at your resort or a refresher course.
In Cancun you can scuba dive with dolphins,
in caves (cenotes), at underwater wrecks, at night, or during
multiple day dives. There is even shark tank diving. Whatever
you decide to do, it will be an exciting experience you won’t
soon forget.
Wave Runners
Another thing to do in cancun is navigate a wave-runner-for-two
on your voyage through a winding mangrove maze, surrounded by
the sound of exotic birds. A guide will lead you out of the mangrove
into the turquoise waters of the Caribbean and on to snorkeling
at a living coral reef.
Reef Express and Snorkeling
Take a fast ride on a Reef Express and experience an exciting
trip through the mangrove jungles of Cancun on your way to the
Great Mayan Reef where you can snorkel among the beautiful fish
or see the reef aboard an underwater sub see explorer.
Swimming With The Sharks
Swim with the sharks? Yes, and feed them too. Put on a mask
and a wet suite and and prepare to descend with your guide into
a plexi-glass shark cage large enough for 3 people and the sharks!
Due to the popularity of the shark encounter, we recommend that
you make reservations as far in advance as possible – don’t
wait until your arrive in Cancun.
Sportfishing
Cancun and the surrounding area offer excellent sportfishing
opportunities. Visistors can go deep sea fishing in the outer
Caribbean for sailfish, marlin, dorado, wahoo, grouper and bluefin
tuna. Anglers can chance their luck at catching tarpon, snook,
permit and bonefish in the nearby inlets, flats and lagoons.
Charters can be arranged through your travel counselor at Royal
Solaris.
